Before Mirri could find a safe place to hide and build a life she had lost her employer, her home, her husband, and both of her son’s to Lord Soth’s vengeful wrath and yet she was so duty bound that she never shed a single tear. It is said that the Blue River began when she finally let her grief out and that her tears will flow endlessly. The great waterfall that is created from the Blue River falls over 800 feet to the valley floor and just like Mirri there is not a single drop of the river that directly hits the valley floor. Instead it separates into great mists that collect in valley and slowly coalesce back into a small river that runs through the lower valley..
